Happy Halloween!!

We had so much fun this year. Jovi loves playing superhero so I though it would be fun to make him a little Clark Kent. I am pretty sure he had no clue what he was or even that he was dressed up but he had fun and kept the glasses on all night without touching them even once. As I believe I have stated before we live in a development that is not so developed and there is only 6 other home in our developement including one that is empty. Needless to say we drove to a housing tract in our ward boundries. It is a ranch development so all the homes sit on horse properties with lots of space. There were people bbq-ing handing out food, homes decorated all "spooky" (as Jovi would say), and kids driving up and down the streets and lawns in the their quads and gators and large blow up movie screens with kids Halloween movies playing. It was hte perfect first trick or treating experience for Jovi. He had so much fun and by the end of the night was running up to doors all by himself. Brian and I were the "super Mom and Dad" to go along with Jovi's costume. For the first time in 2 years I spent more then 5 minutes on my hair, over an hour to be exact so I thought I would document it! Haha it wont happen again for another 2 years, at least!

Ooops! I fell behind again...Here is what we have been up to!

Pumpkin Patch

In preparation for Halloween Jovi has become OBSESSED with pumpkins so we thought a trip to a pumpkin patch was in order this year. We drove to Scottsdale to this fun little horse ranch and had was too much fun. Jovi was able to pick out his very own pumpkin and pretend to be Woody on his first horse ride. We will have to do it again next year for sure.

 

We're going to the zoo zoo zoo...

Brian busted his finger at work this week so he took a few days off the give his hand a rest (being a mechanic the hands and fingers are pretty important). We decided it was the perfect time to take Jovi to the zoo for the first time. This boy was in heaven. Minus the 116 degree weather that just about killed us it was the perfect day.

 

Hope's Blessing and Family BBQ

This past weekend we once again went to California, this one for Baby Hope's (Julie and Scott's little girl) blessing. It was fun to have the whole Holmstrom family together.

 

Beach Fun!

The first time we took Jovi to the beach he hated every moment of it. This past weekend we were in HB and decided to give it another go. Jovi ran straight into the water with all his clothes on and never wanted to leave. It was super fun. I guess we can move back to California now!

 

Mammoth Fun!

So just about every year we go to Mammoth with my Dad and sisters for a week. This year was no exception and by far one of the best years. We had a huge cabin (compared to the one bedroom places we would squeeze a million people into before) and Jovi loved every aspect of being in the mountains with dirt, fishing and cousins. Chick-Fil-A Customer appreciation Day

We will do just about anything for free food. Ok Correction, I will do just about anything and Brian and Jovi just get brought down with me. This time around we had a blast dressing up as "cows" and having a nice family night at Chick-Fil-A.

 

4th of July

Who doesn't love the 4th of July?! This year ours consisted of the pool, new homemade recipes that turned out fantastic and fireworks. Needless to say it was fantastic!

 

Uncle Coco...

Some of Jovi's favorite things do in the heat include anything water and anything with his Uncle Coco. Combine the two and its a good day in this house.

 

We LOVE Daddy!

Aren't Daddy's just the best?! Jovi Loves his Daddy more than anything in this world. We did Father's Day on a budget this year....some things turned out great and others not so great. Take a look....

 

Meet......Super Jovi!

We have a new super hero in our house. His name is Super Herooooo! He can fly, put you in a choke hold and his strength would rival that of Hercules! Don't believe me?! See for yourself ;)

Memorial Day Weekend

The Sorensen Family had a little reunion at their ranch in Seligman, Arozona. They invited us up for the weekend. We had a blast especially Jovi. He was able to get really dirty and play with the big kids. It was super fun, thanks Sorensen's!

How did this happen?!

I have a big boy on my hands. Jovi had his first "official" haircut at a kiddie salon today called Snip-Its. As you can tell from the pictures, he was not a fan of the process but he loved all the toys, activities while there and the end result. It is official, He is not a baby anymore. *sniff sniff*

Time flies when you're having fun! Happy Anniversary to us!

Happy Easter!

Jovi has become the master of Easter egg hunts. This was his first year ever participating in Easter activities. It was so fun to watch him. I think his favorite part was opening them up to find the "num nums" inside. I hope every one had a wonderful Easter and of course remember the true meaning of this holiday. Jovi has recently learned to pray, which was so fun to capture for the first time during the Easter weekend.

Over spring break Jessica and the kids came out for a visit. Jovi loves his cousins and enjoyed every second of his best friend and cousin Luke being here.

 

Happy Birthday Brian!!

Happy birthday to the best husband and Dad in the whole world. We love you Brian! We had cake and played board games which his favorite thing to do. Since his birthday fell on a Monday we met him for lunch at Chipotle's (another favorite).

 

Rainy Day

Jovi experienced his first rainy day as an active toddler. These pictures melt my heart because you are looking at a little boy who wants to be exactly like his Dad when he grows up. If Brian is wearing a hat then Jovi needs a hat, etc, etc. I love love love these pictures.
